Former Grand Valley State standout Jake Alexander has joined the John Carroll University track & field and cross country staff as announced by first-year head coach Kyle Basista.

The John Carroll University men's track and field team in addition to two individuals picked up USTFCCCA All-Academic honors as announced by the New Orleans organization.

Kyle Basista, who has been an assistant coach the past five seasons for the John Carroll University men's and women's track & field and cross country programs, has been named head coach for those programs effective immediately.

John Carroll University junior Rocky Mitolo made history Friday when he became the school's first All-American in the shot put when he placed seventh in the national finals of the 2014 NCAA Division III 2014 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Junior Rocky Mitolo will represent the John Carroll University track and field team at the NCAA National Championships.

With one final chance to cut times members of the John Carroll University track and field team took to the Louisville Twilight Classic in Louisville, Ky. to try to turn in top marks for the season.
