John Carroll University head coach Kyle Basista and his staff have been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Coaching Staff of the Year.

It comes as no surprise that Sydney Jenko has been honored as the 2019 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Freshman of the Year after capturing the league championship in her inaugural season.

The Ohio Athletic Conference has honored 37 John Carroll University fall student-athletes as 2019 Academic All-OAC recipients.

For all the good that has happened to John Carroll in recent weeks, the national championships proved to be a taller task that expected.

John Carroll University is sending both a men's and women's team for the first time to the NCAA Division III Championships, which will be held Saturday, November 23 at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

Winning a regional title for the first time was indeed history, and that accomplishment netted John Carroll another historical first.
