UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio -- It was a last minute decision, but as soon as she stepped on the campus of John Carroll University, she knew it was where she belonged. Gabriella Kreuz out of St. Joseph's Academy in Rocky River, Ohio, originally had her sights set on Division I Saint Louis University in Missouri as her home for the next four years. A stellar high school student-athlete, Kruez envisioned herself competing at the next level for the Billikens. However, her parents and a high school teammate encouraged her to pay a visit to University Heights and tour the campus of John Carroll before her decision was final.
